ROJECT MANAGER – PRECAST SBG AND LAUNCHING

Job Description
 
  • Lead a team of experienced and skilled professionals and workers in the design, pre-casting, erection, and pre-stressing of MRT Segmental Box Girders (SBG).
  • Represent Company at high level meetings with clients and authorities.
  • Oversee the SBG casting yard operation.
  • Manage heavy lifts, using lifters (derrick crane) and launchers.
  • Manage program schedules, construction methods, temporary works, resources and production efficiency.
  • Responsible for all contractual matters and ensure the company’s contractual rights are protected. 
  • Lead and ensure full compliance of the highest safety standards.
  • Responsible for day-to-day expenditures and overall cash-flow and budget.

Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering recognized by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Minimum 15 years Civil Engineering experience with at least 8 years’ experience in SBG viaduct construction.
  • Knowledge of planning software e.g., Microsoft Project & Primavera P6. 
  • Experience in reviewing method statements, lifting plans and review quality documents, survey plans and material submissions all in accordance to project specification.
  • Experience in managing heavy lifts to the highest safety standards and working with exceptionally negligible fit tolerance.
  • Strong leadership qualities with good analytical and communication skills.
 

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – SBG LAUNCHING 

Job Description:
  • Lead precast segmental bridge Launching Team to execute the SBG launching operation using bridge construction equipment - launching girder/ segment lifter.
  • Manage team of Launching Engineers, Launching Superintendent and Riggers on day-to-day operations of segment bridge construction including organising plant and equipment required for precast segmental bridge construction
  • Report and liaise with authorities, clients and Project Manager on the operation matters, progress reporting and tracking.
  • Plan sequence of precast segmental bridge in accordance with sequence in the design, coordination with supervision consultants on engineering and technical matters.
  • Develop lifting plans, kinematics and engineering drawings in accordance with project specification and code of practice.
  • Adhere to safety regulation and requirement as per engineering practice and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Minimum 10 years Civil Engineering experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in viaduct construction particularly in precast segmental bridge construction.
  • Hands-on experience in managing precast segmental bridge construction using bridge equipment including assembly, load test procedure, operation and maintenance.
  • Familiar with temporary works design for segmental bridge construction on sequence of erection.
  • Able to coordinate with temporary works consultant on technical matters, supervision consultant site technical matters related to bridge construction.
  • Experience in post tensioning works and bearing installation in accordance construction drawing, project quality plan, material, and workmanship specification.
  • Experience in various type of segmental precast bridge construction method including span by span method, balance cantilever method and trestle method.

​PROJECT ENGINEER – PRECAST SBG LAUNCHING 

Job Description:​
  • Report to construction manager for precast launching on day-to-day Precast SBG launching operation including managing supervisors, workers plant and equipment.
  • Plan Precast SBG Launching Works, coordination with launching superintendent and crew in day-to-day operation including organising plant and equipment.
  • Prepare lifting plan and kinematics drawing for bridge construction using bridge construction equipment-launching girder/segment lifter.
  • Conduct inspection with supervision consultant for precast segmental bridge construction including lifting works, wet joint, temporary PT and permanent PT Works.

Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Minimum 5 years Civil Engineering experience with minimum 2 years’ experience in Precast Segmental Box Girder operation.
  • Must have experience working in precast segmental bridge construction with using equipment-launching girder or segment lifter.
  • Able to prepare lifting plan, kinematic drawing, method statement including job safety analysis.

SAFETY OFFICER – PRECAST SBG AND LAUNCHING

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform, review and assess method statements and risk assessments of projects and works to ensure risk control measurements are taken to reduce risk to the lowest manageable level.
  • Conduct safety induction course and toolbox meeting on in-house EHS rules and regulations and risk-based work activity.
  • Participate in management of change process of the projects and works.
  • Review permit-to-work of the projects and works to ensure all requirements are adhered to prior to and the duration of the projects and works.
  • Monitor all safe work practices of hazardous works like confined space entry, working at height, lifting operations, excavation work, formwork and scaffold erection, electrical works, line breaking, all other construction, engineering, civil, maintenance work activities.
  • Participate in accident and incident investigations and assist in implementing recommendations made.
  • Conduct audit for compliance against permits, safe work practices, method statements and risk assessments of work activities carried out.
  • Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and issue stop work order to any work activities in order to take actions to rectify to safe environment before initiating safe start work.
  • Participate in and conduct EHS inspection, drills, and exercises, EHS committee meetings, EHS programs and campaigns.
  • Assist in ensuring that fire safety regulation, fire protection system and fire prevention management are in compliance with SCDF and GEHS requirement.
  • Participate in Management System (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, SS506) audit.
  • Perform any other EHSSQ roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • MOM registered WSHO with at least 3 years' experience in construction and/or engineering, civil work.
  • Experience in the implementation of OHSAS 18001 or ISO 1400.
  • Familiar with the safety, health, and environmental legislations as well as risk management procedure
  • Possess certification in related field of competency - Work-At-Height, Confined Space, Scaffolding, Lifting Operation, Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course.
  • Understand the process and sequence of viaduct works - SBG precast production and SBG launching works.
  • Able to conduct routine inspection to identify the improvements required for the temporary works implementation on site.
  • Able to perform overtime work during normal working days and on weekends / public holidays when necessary.
  • Meticulous and conscientious in site checks and audits to ensure compliance.

HSE EXECUTIVE / COORDINATOR-PRECAST SBG AND LAUNCHING

Job Description
  • Ensure workplace compliance with WSH regulations for the viaduct SBG Precast and installation works.
  • Inspect and rectify unsafe practices or conditions on site with the operation team.
  • Liaise closely with safety officer and site personnel on the daily construction task.
  • Prepare and implement safe work procedure, risk assessment, job safety analysis for every single element of construction works on site.
  • Maintain up to date records on safety equipment, PPE distribution, Covid-19 SOP compliance and implementation on site.
  • Conduct safety briefing relating to work specific requirements.
  • Provide technical and professional safety assistance to the site construction management.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations and preparation of investigation reports, including the effective closures of all corrective/preventive actions.

Requirements
  • Certificate / Diploma in workplace safety & health and must be registered with MOM.
  • Certified as a HSE Coordinator though BCA trainings or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Well verse in MS Words and in MS Excel, experience in viaduct construction projects or similar infrastructure construction projects in Singapore.
  • Familiar with SHE requirement by LTA and BCA guidelines.

​CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – PRECAST SBG PRODUCTION

Job Description:
  • Setup precast factory for Segmental Box Girder (SBG) including assembly of SBG mould, gantry crane, survey tower and associated plant and equipment in Singapore.
  • Organise precast SBG day-to-day operations including mould & accessories, rebar jig, direct manpower for sub trades - rebar, mould, concreting and storage.
  • Plan and organise resources related to SBG production, reinforcement steel, bar bending schedule, concreting, mould accessories and coordination with supervision engineer on daily inspection.
  • Coordinate with site launching team for segment delivery in accordance to launching schedule, coordination with transporters and launching team on the SBG delivery for launching. 
  • Report to Project Manager, client and Main Contractor on SBG production, daily report and progress tracking.

​Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Minimum 10 years Civil Engineering experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in precast Segmental Box Girder (SBG) operation.
  • Have at least 10 years hands-on experience in the operations of a SBG casting yard.
  • Familiar with SBG mould assembly, operation and routine maintenance works and able to handle direct labour for factory based SBG production in Singapore.
  • Able to lead production team with engineers, and supervisors in day-to-day SBG production.
  • Experienced in technical coordination related to SBG production including engineering drawings, quality, material, and workmen specifications.
  • Understand quality, material and workmanship specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Understand safety and environment requirements and regulations to ensure compliance.
 

PROJECT ENGINEER – PRECAST SBG CASTING 

Job Description:
  • Report to Precast Manager on day-to-day precast SBG operation including managing supervisors, workers, plant and equipment.
  • Plan the Precast SBG Casting works, reinforcement works, mould assembly and demoulding operation, geometry control and SBG storage.
  • Conduct engineering inspection with supervision consultant on all sub trades involved in Precast SBG Casting operation
  • Prepare inspection forms, quality records related to SBG Casting operation with relevant checklist and birth certificates.

Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice
  • Minimum 5 years Civil Engineering experience with minimum 2 years’ experience in Precast Segmental Box Girder (SBG) operation.
  • Experience Precast SBG either using short-line match casting or long match casting.
  • Familiar with SBG mould components, assembly, and demoulding operation, SBG finishing, storage and delivery coordination and requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with supervisors and workers on factory based precast casting operation.
  • Familiar with geometry control, survey as-cast adjustment for Precast SBG casting operation.


SURVEYOR- (SBG PRECAST PRODUCTION)

Job Description:
  • Report to Project Manager, coordinate with construction managers on Precast Segmental Box Girder (SBG) and launching works survey works on daily basis.
  • Coordinate with main contractor chief surveyor on the survey network Establishment for site control point and TBM.
  • Coordinate with precast SBG technical team on geometry control plan incorporate prechamber and as-cast data for SBG production and installation.
  • Coordinate with launching team on the SBG Installation and survey works to achieve the projected survey data, day to day survey adjustment on site to achieve the projected survey data and tolerances on site.

Requirements: 
  • Degree in Land Surveying or Degree in Engineering (Geomatics) or Degree in Surveying Science & Geomatics recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Minimum 10 years Civil Engineering experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in viaduct construction.
  • Must have experience in precast concrete / viaduct construction with high accuracies such as Segmental Box Girder (SBG) using Balance Cantilever Method (BCM) or beam launching.
  • Familiar with geometrical control software for SBG, preferably CORRECT X or MC3D.
  • Able to independently resolve all surveying issues in SBG production, plan, supervise and train subordinate in survey team.
  • Able to use CAD software to produce shop drawing based on as-cast data generate by geometrical control software.
  • Able to start early in the morning consistently to do as-built survey.


MOULD SUPERVISOR – PRECAST SBG PRODUCTION 

​Job Description:
  • Report to Construction Manager and Project Engineer for SBG Production on daily mould operation for SBG production.
  • Organise manpower for the daily SBG mould operation, allocate mould bay for the various types of SBG casting to meet the targeted production.
  • Perform routine mould maintenance and modification for varies SBG configuration (minor) using the factory maintenance team.
  • Conduct pre-pour inspection with supervision consultant on daily basis, prepare checklist and relevant inspection reports.
​

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Technical Certificates recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Must have minimum 5 years of working experience in construction. Experience in construction precast industry will be an added advantage.
  • Must have knowledge on steel mould, familiar with terminology for mould parts - Finger vegan, Soffit Table, Wing Form, etc.
  • Able to organise manpower and direct supervision of manpower on daily SBG production for the mould readiness for concreting and demoulding activity.
  • Experience in coordination of survey works for precast cast production using geometry control method for SBG mould adjustment to achieve the projected survey data.
  • Technically sound in requirement for works specification and material inspection.
  • Well versed in precast factory safety compliance and requirements.


REBAR SUPERVISOR – PRECAST SBG PRODUCTION 

Job Description:
  • Report to Construction Manager and Project Engineer for SBG Production on daily rebar works for operation for SBG production.
  • Organise manpower for SBG rebar installation on rebar jig, transfer rebar cage to SBG mould upon inspection and supervise the remaining rebar works for the readiness for concreting.
  • Prepare bar bending schedule based on rebar drawing for rebar procurement and installation on site, control the wastages of rebar on daily rebar works.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Technical Certificates recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Must have minimum 5 years of working experience in construction. experience in construction precast industry will be an added advantage.
  • Able to organise and manage direct manpower for rebar works, able to coordinate and resolve clashing of or reinforcement works on site.
  • Experience in coordination varies interfacing details for insert in SBG reinforcement.
  • Technically sound in requirement for works specification and material inspection.
  • Well versed in precast factory safety compliance and requirement.


CONCRETE SUPERVISOR – PRECAST SBG PRODUCTION 

Job Description:
  • Report to Construction Manager and Project Engineer for SBG Production on daily Concreting works for operation for SBG production.
  • Organise manpower for SBG concreting works, conduct inspection and supervise for the readiness for concreting and overall concreting.
  • Prepare inspection checklist related to concreting works.

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Technical Certificates recognised by Singapore Engineering Practice.
  • Must have minimum 5 years of working experience in construction. experience in construction precast industry will be an added advantage.
  • Able to organise and manage direct manpower for rebar works, able to coordinate and resolve clashing of or reinforcement works on site.
